The Trainee Transport Planner will be trained in transport planning and compliance for HGVs collecting goods and delivering across the UK. Alongside this, they will be expected to carry out administrative duties as required. Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to get into Logistics/Transport, or someone already in the sector looking for learning and development. The key responsibilities for the role of Trainee Transport Planner based in Warwick will be:

  • Planning single-run and multi-drop deliveries for a fleet of HGVs.
  • Assigning Driver's to routes, briefing them on their run.
  • Monitoring transport compliance for routes, relating to Driver's hours and WTD etc.
  • Completing administrative work where required.
  • Contacting customers, or Drivers out on the road where required.
The successful candidate for the role of Trainee Transport Planner based in Warwick will have:
  • An interest in working in Logistics/Transport.
  • Good computer literacy skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Be a fast learner, alongside being enthusiastic and committed.
  • Have professional phone and written communication skills.
The successful candidate for the role of Trainee Transport Planner based in Warwick will receive:
  • A salary of around £25,000 DOE.
  • Great on the job training, with opportunities for progression.
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
  • Company pension scheme.
