As a Principal Engineer with a specific focus on Automotive EV Chassis Systems are you interetsed in progressing to Engineering Manager or Chief Engineer? Can you take responsibility for our engineering team though delivering innovative solutions for EV chassis platforms while also overseeing engineering management, collaborative team development and customer delivery. As the ideal candidate, you will possess extensive technical expertise in EV / automotive chassis systems.
Responsibilities:
# Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced EV chassis systems, focusing on structural integrity, weight optimisation, and integration of electric drivetrains.
# Provide technical leadership and management responsibility for the engineering team, guiding them in the application of best practices and innovative solutions for EV chassis development.
# Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, establish technical strategies, and ensure alignment with EV platform objectives and performance targets.
# Oversee project management activities, including project planning, resource allocation, budget management, and timeline tracking for EV chassis projects.
# Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and excellence in EV chassis system design.
# Conduct thorough technical reviews and evaluations to ensure the robustness, safety, and reliability of EV chassis design solutions.
# Serve as a subject matter expert in automotive EV chassis systems, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements specific to electric vehicles.
# Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the EV chassis project lifecycle.
# Provide leadership and support in team development, including talent acquisition, performance management, and skill development for engineering staff.

Requirements:
# Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
# Leading & actively delivering engineering activity for automotive chassis solutions.
# Strong technical proficiency in automotive EV chassis systems, including structural design, material selection, and integration of electric drivetrains.
# Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project objectives in the EV chassis domain.
# Demonstrated ability to drive technical excellence, foster innovation, and lead cross-functional teams in a busy environment, specifically in EV chassis development.
# Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with experience in project planning, resource allocation, budget management, and timeline tracking.
# Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members on EV chassis projects.
# Familiarity with powertrain installation, body integration and chassis component design and is essential.
# Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and project-related activities.
