Kensington is a lovely, modern and well-equipped hospital situated in beautiful part of London, a short walk from Gloucester Rd Tube Station.

We’re seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us in an ops based nursing role, working to a 4-day week with 1:6 weekends.

Our team is friendly and fun as well as experienced and supportive. The clinic is equipped with complex ultrasound, laparoscopic stack system, endoscope, full in-house lab, separate dog and cat wards, isolation are and two operating theatres.

You’ll find us right next to Hyde Park, perfect for spending your lunch breaks picnicking in the upcoming Summer months Our address is 1-3 Gloucester Rd, South Kensington, London SW7 4PP.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
