We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and seasoned Technical Manager to become a valued member of our client team, representing a prominent frozen food production company. In this pivotal role, your responsibilities will revolve around guaranteeing technical and legal adherence across every stage of our frozen food production process, right from acquiring raw materials to delivering the final product. You'll be instrumental in upholding food safety standards, ensuring top-notch product quality, and navigating regulatory compliance.

Moreover, your role extends to offering crucial technical support to our dedicated team. Join us in shaping the future of our frozen food production journey

Responsibilities:

Technical and Compliance Contact: Be the technical and compliance contact for customers, service providers, and the growing team of our clients.

Food Safety and Legislation: Advise the product development team on relevant food safety guidance and legislation.

Product Packaging: Ensure product packaging complies with all regulations and standards.

Product Quality: Liaise with team members on product quality matters and report back to relevant stakeholders.

Inbound Product Checks: Complete inbound product checks of all raw materials and components.

Production Support: Provide additional QC support during production runs.

Quality Management System: Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks associated with the client's Quality Management System.

BRC Certification: Lead the annual BRC certification renewal audit.

HACCP, TACCP & VACCP Systems: Oversee the HACCP, TACCP & VACCP systems.

Supplier Management: Approve and manage product and service suppliers.

Corrective Actions and Non-Conformances: Manage corrective actions and non-conformances.

Laboratory Testing: Manage laboratory testing compliance, finished product release, recall program, document control, and traceability programs.

Raw Material and Product Specifications: Develop and manage raw material and final product specifications.

Technical Communication: Manage the technical@ inbox and Outlook calendar.

Organic Certification: Manage Organic certification compliance and annual renewal audit.

Decision Making: You will have full authority on all aspects of the client's Quality Management System, including HACCP systems, TACCP/VACCP systems, supplier approval, corrective actions, non-conforming products, product testing, finished product release, product recall, document control, and customer complaints.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a technical or quality management role within the food industry.
  • Experience with HACCP, TACCP & VACCP systems is a must.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
