Knight Frank is seeking a candidate for the role of Senior PM to assist their London-based Project Management team in managing fit-out, refurbishment and new build projects through their various stages, from establishing a brief, through project team selection, design development and contractor tendering to construction on site. Senior Project Manager with an interest in and focus on the commercial Landlord Refurbishment and Repositioning sector with the ability to pivot into occupier fit-out.
Project & Building Consultancy undertake a range of projects, both New Build and the modification of existing buildings, with projects varying from 5,000ft2 to 300,000ft2. Whilst the department covers the EMEA region, the majority of its projects are located in Central London, are typically landlord refurbishments and office interior fit-outs. The typical project size for the successful candidate will be between 15,000ft2 to 50,000ft2 .
The successful candidate will lead asset enhancement projects for our valued client base. They will have strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to analyse project information quickly and efficiently.
Be flexible and able to balance a variety of demands.
Accomplished at using Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Power Point
Supporting the feasibility reporting process along with design co-ordination to achieve successful planning approval outcomes.
Taking the lead PM role on projects supported by junior staff and consultants.
Management of external consultants, including architects and engineers; this will include arranging and preparing meetings and taking minutes for project meetings.
Administration of construction projects and contracts.
Preparing Gantt Charts (experience of working with MS Project is essential).
Writing monthly reports on progress of the project (experience of working with MS Word is essential)
Compiling comprehensive monthly reports on progress of the project
In conjunction with other members of Knight Frank's team, managing the project finances (experience of working with MS Excel is essential).
A BSc degree (in a relevant subject such as Building Surveying, Construction Technology or Architecture)
A Chartered Surveyor or Project Manager (MRICS or equivalent)
At least two years of post RICS qualified experience, working in a related field demonstrating a clear understanding of:
