We are a social impact digital health startup in the diabetes prevention space seeking a full stack engineer who can program in Typescript, Node, and React while using Test-Driven Development practices. This is an opportunity to work directly with our CEO/founder to modernize our code base and be part of the core founding team as we seek to rapidly grow our venture.

Fruit Street is a social impact digital health startup that delivers a CDC-approved diabetes prevention program via telehealth and live group video conferencing on Zoom with registered dietitians. The program is designed to help the 1 in 3 Americans with prediabetes avoid developing Type 2 diabetes by making diet and lifestyle changes. Participants are also issued a wireless scale, Fitbit, and can take photos of their food in the Fruit Street mobile application. Here is a video of the product:

The company is expanding into the UK and is part of the DigitalHealth.London accelerator program with the NHS:

Our founder and CEO lives in London and is an alumni of Harvard Business School and a current Sloan Fellow at London Business School.

The company has raised more than $35M of capital from 500 physicians and investors since inception, but our revenue dropped recently due to the loss of a major contract.

We are seeking engineers that would be willing to jump in part-time on this exciting social impact project and work for equity OR deferred compensation until we can raise additional capital.
