We're looking to bring on board a highly motivated, experienced and skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer.

We operate both a CNC company and reclaimed furniture business out of Newham, East London. We create bespoke pieces for our clients such as furniture, signage, artworks using a wide range of materials, reclaimed timber, manufactured board, foam etc. We sell furniture through our website Riz And Mica Make and offer bespoke CNC work via East London CNC

Join our team as a CNC Machinist, you’ll operate our 3-axis CNC machine, manage CAD/CAM tasks, and enhance overall team productivity. Your responsibilities will include running programs, editing G-Code, and creating CAD models tailored to customer specifications. Effective communication within the team, task delegation, and inventory management are also pivotal aspects of this role. If you possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in CNC operations, along with proficiency in the relevant software and materials, we invite you to apply.

This is a full-time contractor position within our company.

Operate a 3-axis CNC machine:

* Change tools and set machine datum and offsets

* Create 2D and 3D models in CAD software

* Generate G-Code from CAD models

* Interpret customer specifications and technical drawings for CAD file creation

* Estimate material requirements and machining times based on CAD files

* Delegate post-process tasks like sanding and oiling

* Assist in other tasks such as oiling, sanding, and packing when CNC work is low

* Ensure adherence to quality and safety practices, maintaining tidy work areas

* Software: Autodesk Fusion360 (or similar parametric modelling software, have the capacity to self-learn), Vectric Vcarve, Google Sheets or equivalent, Syntec/Fanuc G-Code, Syntec controls (or ability to self-learn)

Solid hardwood, softwood, reclaimed wood, MDF, plywood (all types), chipboard, melamine, Formica faced sheets, acrylic, HDPE, aluminum, foam

A good understanding of how industrial cnc's work

Minimum 2 years' experience in programming and operating CNC Machining Centres is essential

* Minimum 1 years' experience of CAD

* Ability to program, set up, maintain and operate CNC machines independently

* Understanding of tolerances and quality requirements

* Knowledge of health and safety protocols in CNC operations
