Blesma, The Limbless Veterans is the national charity and membership association for limbless serving and ex-service men and women and their dependants.
We help all wounded servicemen and women who have lost limbs, the use of limbs or eyes, to rebuild their lives by providing rehabilitation activities and welfare support.
Rehabilitation, support, counselling and care are the four principle foundations of our organisation. Together, we can help our men, women and their families face the challenges ahead with renewed confidence and self-belief.
We are looking for a Volunteer to help the Fundraising Team with office tasks. Your work will help provide excellent donor care to our supporters, as well as assisting with the smooth running of our office and fundraising activities.
By volunteering with us, you will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of volunteering for a charity and will contribute to our work supporting injured veterans and their families.
Undertake administration tasks to support the fundraising team.
- Support a variety of income-generation functions, including individual giving, event fundraising, trust and foundations grant-making, legacy marketing, and corporate giving.
Process orders from our online shop, despatching materials
- Research new opportunities to partner with community groups and companies, who are the most relevant match for Blesma
- Ad hoc research tasks on donor engagement, retention and supporter care.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel and Outlook).
· Good spoken and written English.
· An interest in the Armed Forces and/or disability
• This is a voluntary position and expenses can be claimed in accordance with Blesma’s expenses policy.

This role is not suitable for remote working.
Reports to: Head of Fundraising, with project work managed across the Fundraising Team
It is hoped that the volunteer may be available at least one day a week.This is a voluntary position and expenses can be claimed in accordance with Blesma’s expenses policy.
