AutoCAD Technician

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician to join our expanding on-site UK team for a major and prestigious scientific and pharmaceutical giant based in Macclesfield. 

As an AutoCAD Technician you will be responsible for providing the Facilities Management (FM) with key asset information to support business operations and compliance. 

What will you be involved in day to day? 

Reporting to the BIM Manager as an AutoCAD Technician you will provide critical technical support to Facilities Management and Site Engineering in the creation, development, modification and management of building record family drawings, site drawings and utility drawings in-line with company procedures and standards.

Of course you will:

  • Create, manage, modify, and maintain drawings on AutoCAD. Championing and supporting others ensuring the company drawing and quality standards are always adhered to. 
  • As part of your role, you will be involved in building and site surveys. Be responsible for managing your workflow and always ensuring compliance of all engineering and change documentation. 
  • But this isn’t all you will do, as a part of your role your people skills will see you liaising with personnel at all levels including FM partner suppliers and other project organisations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experiences

  • Proven experience of working on a recent/current version of the AutoCAD software working to industry standards.
  • Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) familiarity.
  • Understanding of change, revision control, document status and drawing standards.
