Our client is a reputable and award-winning privately owned housebuilder with a passion for creating high-quality, traditionally built homes that exceed our customers' expectations. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Site Manager to lead our new development of 9 apartments in Surrey.
**Job Summary:** We are looking for a highly motivated, hands on and proactive Site Manager to oversee the construction of our new apartment development in Surrey. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the site team, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the main point of contact on site, responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the construction process, including health and safety, quality control, and customer satisfaction. **Responsibilities:*** Manage the site team, including subcontractors and direct labor, to ensure the project is completed on time and to the required quality standards* Coordinate and manage all aspects of the construction process, including planning, programming, and resource allocation
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify defects, and implement corrective actions
* Manage and control site costs, ensuring the project is delivered within budget
* Liaise with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise
* Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, progress reports, and quality control documentation
* Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the project is delivered safely and efficiently **Requirements:*** Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, preferably with a background in traditional building methods
* SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification
* CSCS Black Card or equivalent
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a site team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues
* Ability to work independently and make decisions, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
* Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
