BPV consulent

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic consultant to join our consultancy department and become an integral part of a collaborative and dynamic team. As an experienced and committed individual you would be responsible for helping to deliver consultancy commissions typically focusing on decarbonisation and low carbon energy projects. Your expertise, drive and innovative thinking would support our clients with their net zero ambitions.

Helping to deliver high quality reports and strategies to clients and providing specialist consulting advice to clients with their net zero ambitions
Working with internal team members and external stakeholders to deliver diverse consultancy commissions within our expert areas of low carbon heat, and community energy projects.
Support the development of low carbon strategies and solutions
Provide advice and guidance on required industry information, insight, registers and research and delivering recommendations for next steps to support our clients.
Providing technical and commercial advice to a range of clients on their renewable and low carbon projects
Working and engaging with clients and communities to initiate, update and support local projects and initiatives
Assisting with the delivery of feasibility studies for renewable energy, low carbon technologies and heat networks
Undertaking energy monitoring and analysis
Providing incentive scheme advice and support
Support programme delivery through the planning, coordination and reporting and working closely with project team members, managers and leads to help deliver projects efficiently
Working collaboratively and in partnerships with universities, other experts/consultancies, and legal professionals as part of effective project delivery
Undertaking technical due diligence and business planning, such as heat load calculations, energy use estimations and project costings and business planning
Such other or alternative duties as may be allocated from time to time in the light of the experience, training and knowledge of the post holder and the level of the grading and salary of the post holder

Renewable Energy, Chemical/Electrical Engineering, Geography, Sustainable Energy, Environmental Studies, Energy Management
Experience working independently on a portfolio of varied projects
Proficient on Microsoft packages specifically Word and Excel with strong IT skills and a desire to learn new systems and tools.
Experience working within the renewable heat, heat network or community energy sectors
Understanding of commercial aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects, including project finance
Experience of data analysis/management

Driving licence:
~ The job holder should have a full current driving licence and demonstrate willingness to travel as and when required


Travel:
~ Site visits and client meetings will be required along with other meetings, training and event attendance.
