GSL Education is currently partnering with a small, supportive Primary school in Bournemouth, in the pursuit of a dynamic and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher. This presents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of the school immediately or can start from September.
The SEN school has a positive reputation for prioritising the mental well-being of its students and providing individualised support through 1:1 sessions or small group settings. The school values work-life balance for its staff, ensuring focus on catering to the unique needs of each student while fostering a warm and supportive community. Previous experience or knowledge of SEN is highly desirable, underlining the school's commitment to specialised support for students with special educational needs.
The school caters to students who have been excluded from mainstream education, who can be emotionally vulnerable. The school prides itself on not only supporting with their education, but holistic development, so students are confident about their role in society after leaving school. Therefore, any teachers with prior experience with SEN are extremely desirable
In-depth knowledge of the primary school curriculum and teaching methodologies
• Previous experience in a primary SEN school is preferred but not mandatory.
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for education
• Develop and deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks
