Enso Recruitment is working on behalf of a global leader in cyber security to find an experienced Cyber Security Consultant for an exciting one-year placement based in Osaka, Japan. This opportunity offers flights, accommodation, and visa sponsorship, as well as the potential for long-term employment beyond the initial term.
No Japanese language skills are required, making this the perfect chance for a cyber security professional to gain international experience and immerse themselves in an innovative and collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients improve their cyber resilience. Working within a forward-thinking team, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting cyber maturity assessments using industry-standard frameworks.
- Developing and implementing incident response strategies and playbooks.
- Advising clients on improving security postures and managing cyber risk.
- Leading technical incident response planning and execution.
- Presenting actionable recommendations and findings to stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
Essential Skills:
- A minimum of two years of experience in the cyber security industry.
- Strong familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
- Practical experience in incident response and using defensive security controls.
- Clear and effective communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- An understanding of regulatory compliance and security assessment tools.
Desirable Skills:
- Background in working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
- Familiarity with forensic analysis tools and conducting Table-Top Exercises (TTX).
- Experience in business development is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GCIH are advantageous but not required if you have equivalent experience.
