TQR are looking for a School Maintenance Assistant to join our client's site on a Permanent basis in Saltash and Liskeard. You will be responsible for the general maintenance, refurbishment and caretaking of the schools' buildings and facilities.

Responsibilities
·Assist with refurbishment projects, including removing old fixtures, preparing areas for painting, and completing painting tasks as needed.

·Proactively undertake routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs to ensure school buildings and facilities are safe and operational.

·Report any safety concerns or facility issues to the Operations Manager and work with approved contractors for resolution.

·Participate in regular site meetings and actively contribute to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment.

·Assist with annual compliance audits related to fire safety equipment.

·Work collaboratively with the school staff to maintain a clean and litter-free environment for students and faculty.

·Assist with the disposal of waste and ensure adherence to health and safety,

·Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

Experience and Skills.

·Experience in a similar maintenance or facilities position.

·General knowledge of building maintenance

·Proactive approach to problem solving.

·Good communication skills.

This role will require an Enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by our client.

This a Permanent opportunity working 37 hours a week (between 6.30am and 6.30pm), Monday to Friday with a salary of £23,114.
