What you will do:

  • Achieve all strategic, operational and financial objectives for CNC. Engage with shared service to deliver KPI and budget for the combined offer including Factory and Network.
  • Develop and deliver the annual operating plans and budgets that support the strategic direction and budgets set by PL Inc.
  • Communicate strategic, operational and financial objectives internally in the form of clear tactical objectives, and ensure employees have the resources they need to achieve them.
  • Oversee and provide strategic direction to operations while managing all compliance with legal and regulatory requirements with central and supporting functions.
  • Collaborate and recruit, hire, retain, evaluate, promote and/or terminate the employees of Proto Labs in the CNC Service line allocated to him according to the policies of the organisation and the applicable local labour regulations.
  • Identify potential opportunities for new business relationships for consideration by EULT.
  • Plan, seek approval, manage and execute capital investments in tangible assets to secure sufficient capacity to meet revenue targets in an on-time fashion.
  • Define, measure, analyse, improve and control financial, operations, efficiency and effectiveness targets and initiate programmes in case of deviations.
  • Review, adjust operational structure for CNC Service line in collaboration with the General Manager Telford to accomplish set targets in the most cost effective manner. Assess capacity requirements Factory and Network from company plans. Drive staffing programs as required, setting high standards in recruiting, attracting and retaining staff.
  • Review the individual performance of direct reports ensuring that individual objectives are met or exceeded; support and execute a performance management programme.

What you should bring:

  • Extensive and progressive operational leadership in manufacture and operations and/or product/service line management
  • Documented experience in the successful strategic service line management, including project management
  • Demonstrable experience of strategic planning, policy development and budget management
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a fast-paced, multi-tasked team-oriented work environment.
  • Masters/Bachelor degree in an engineering or commercial discipline, general business or equivalent experience
  • Growth and portfolio management experience.
  • Metric driven – measures and analyses results
  • Analytical and creative problem solving, root cause analysis
  • Excellent communication skills – at every level and in all forms & formats
  • Financial acumen – understanding operational P&L
