Randstad C&P are currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier One construction firm in Slough The company are currently seeking a Contracts Manager to assist in the delivery of a GBP150m scheme involving residential and commercial elements. The role is looking for a senior individual who has managed similar size projects for a Tier One contractor previously.

The contractor are seeking a talented, knowledgeable Contracts Manager to help assist in the delivery of the major project, which has just entered Phase 2. The contractor have a growing order book moving into 2025 an beyond, and turnover more than GBP1bn nationally. Selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality and maintaining client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the build on site, including the commercial and residential new build elements in addition to block extensions.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve excellence in performance, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to effectively manage project timelines and costs.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Proactively identify and address any issues or risks that may impact project delivery, implementing appropriate solutions to mitigate them.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in construction contracts management
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field (e.g., HND, HNC, degree).
  • Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certificate, and other relevant construction industry certifications.
