Senior / Principal Consultant (Strategy Development)

As a Senior/Principal Consultant in our Operations and Safety team, you will work alongside senior experts and collaborate with specialists across WSP, integrating your strategy development skills with technical domains like energy, roads, rail, and active travel to offer tailored, high-impact solutions for our clients. You will lead and contribute to a wide range of strategy development projects for national and local government clients, building a varied and diverse portfolio of experience.
Leading teams in project delivery centred in strategy, innovation and transformation, ranging from assessing feasibility, developing business cases and outlining benefits of long-term visions and strategies for local and national transport operations.
Working with our Clients, to provide expert advice in long-term strategic direction to help them deliver their objectives and optimise benefits.
Contributing to the growth of the Strategy Development capability to support delivery against its ambitions, h elping drive delivery and business sustainability.
Sharing knowledge through internal and external thought leadership and supporting mentoring of early career professionals.
Technical capability in the development and delivery of strategic plans, visions and roadmaps for local and/or national bodies.
Demonstratable experience of quantitative and qualitative analysis
A proven track record in a consultancy role or can demonstrate the aptitude and skills required to provide excellent consultancy support.
A proven track record of working collaboratively with government, research and commercial partners.
