A recognised Level 5 or above qualification in psychotherapy/counselling
•18 months post qualification experience of providing individual counselling to clients.
•Understanding the issues faced by young people/young adults experiencing poor mental health.
•Therapeutic models of psychotherapy (Integrative, Person Centered, Humanistic, Psychodynamic etc.) and how this can be used effectively to support children & young people’s mental health & wellbeing.
•How to adapt counselling sessions to the needs of children and young people.
•Managing risk and safeguarding legislation
This post will sit within the HOME team providing direct therapeutic interventions for young people through our Talk@HOME counselling service.
