We have partnered with a leading food manufacturer based in the Northwest of the UK, renowned for its high-quality products and commitment to innovation. This well-established company is looking for a talented and experienced Production Manager to join their dynamic team. This is your opportunity to set the tone for your career in food manufacturing & get experience working with all the leading UK retailers with a market leader.

As the Production Manager, you will report to the Manufacturing Manager and be at the forefront of the company's manufacturing operations. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the efficient, effective, and safe running of the production processes. You will lead a dedicated team of 3 Shift Managers (indirect 35-50), oversee resource management, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and product quality.

Achieve departmental productivity and efficiency targets to produce goods according to the agreed production plan.

* Continuously monitor raw materials, operational processes, and the overall production environment to ensure compliance with food safety manufacturing standards.

* Oversee and adjust labour deployment to align with the department's production requirements.

* Effectively communicate with the operations team to report progress against the plan, highlighting any risks to achieving production volumes and standards.

* Monitor and evaluate the performance of machinery and equipment, ensuring consistency and reliability through Optimum Equipment Efficiency.

* Analyse operational trends within the department, identifying and acting on opportunities for sustainable improvements in quality, performance, profit, and the overall execution of the operational plan.

* Actively participate in customer and technical process development reviews to enhance the quality and consistency of production.

Food manufacturing experience is essential, leading a large manufacturing team

* Advanced Food Hygiene Accreditation

* HACCP Level 2 Qualification

* IOSH Level 2

* Actively facilitate skill gaps evaluations and competence training

* Effectively manage labour utilisation within the designated Production unit

* Challenge the team performance and ensure that the agreed performance management routines are followed (Tear Meetings, SIC reporting, OEE reporting)

* Maintain high standards of product quality, food safety, GMP
