We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Specialty Doctor in ENT on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful ENT department.

Our client provides healthcare services to people living in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf county borough areas, serving a population of around 450,000. We are ideally situated between Wales's capital city, Porthcawl to the west, and the stunning scenery in the Beacon Beacons. Their vision is to care for our communities and patients by preventing ill-health, promoting better health, providing excellent services and reducing the need for inpatient care wherever possible through the provision of strengthened home, primary and community care. Working in an ENT department that support the delivery of inpatient and emergency ENT services for the local population and in doing so foster excellent working relationships within and outside the specialist area, including medical, nursing, secretarial and support staff, General Practitioners and Management Teams.

The successful appointee will be joining a department, where the appointee will be expected to undertake various duties within the department. These include: contribute with the multi-disciplinary team in the use of referenced, evidence based guidelines, which are dated, signed and reviewed at least bi-annually or more frequently in light of new evidence, post holder will be required to participate in the on call rota, Work with the rest of the clinical team to support the delivery of a high quality service provided by well-trained staff within clear departmental policies and procedures, actively participate in regular and systematic multi-disciplinary clinical audit, participate in a 1:5 on-call commitment including out of hours & participate in a multi-disciplinary structured programme of training and education
