As the E-Commerce Data Science Team Lead with Kao, you will play a pivotal role heading up our data science initiatives across various e-commerce channels. Reporting into our Head of Transformation for the Global Salon business, you will be responsible for managing a small team of talented data scientists and analysts, guiding them in leveraging data-driven insights to optimize our online sales strategies, improve customer experiences, and maximize revenue. This is an exciting opportunity to create something new, cooperating with Kao's IT function and the business to utilise a range of data science tools and technologies and bring real commercial value through the power of data.
This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working out of our London or Darmstadt offices.
Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data scientists and analysts to deliver impactful insights and solutions
# Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute data-driven strategies to drive e-commerce growth and enhance customer engagement
# Oversee the analysis of e-commerce data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization, including customer segmentation, product recommendations, and pricing strategies
# Modeling: Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to forecast sales, personalize marketing efforts, and optimize inventory management
# Technology: Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies in data science and e-commerce analytics, and champion their adoption within the team
# Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing, innovation, and professional development

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; Proven experience (5+ years) in e-commerce analytics, data science, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
# Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, as well as experience with SQL and data visualization tools
# Deep understanding of e-commerce metrics, platforms, and technologies, with a track record of driving business impact through data-driven decision
# Prior experience working in the beauty or cosmetics field to bring an understanding of the data and dashboards required by the business
# Business-fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical colleagues
