Based in the idyllic fishing harbour village of St Mawes, Cornwall, you will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of this newly built seaside property. The family does not live in the house all year round, so you will be highly trustworthy and self-motivated, with a passion for maintaining the property to the highest of standards. 

You will have a broad set of practical skills and be proficient carrying out a range repair and maintenance tasks whilst also being responsible for on site security. The modern property has incorporated lots of innovation and technology into its fabric, so you will also be technically competent and at ease overseeing and maintaining such systems.

You will also be responsible for the family’s cars and boats,ensuring they are clean and ready for use as well as being available for driving jobs when required.

You will enjoy problem solving and working under your own initiative. Highly resourceful, you will also be a good planner and communicator, with an ability to manage and deliver multiple projects in parallel.

Accommodation can be provided in the bustling village of St Mawes.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and cleaning tasks both inside and outside the property
  • Schedule, supervise and carry out property maintenance activities
  • Manage the household’s various systems, solar, air source, ground source, swimming pools etc
  • Engage and manage external contractors for specialist works
  • Perform general handyman tasks including some decorating
  • Work with the owner to ensure the security of the house
  • Be versatile and willing to perform a variety of tasks including the occasional chauffeuring of guests around the village and surrounding area
