The post sits within the Health & Active Living section, and you will be responsible for curriculum standards and outcomes for several programmes across the school, specifically in the Uniformed Services and Health sections.
With a degree or professional qualification and excellent current teaching skills in at least one of the following curriculum areas: Sport, Health & Social Care, Public Services, you will hold a teaching qualification, be recognised as a good or better teacher, and have current knowledge of impending curriculum changes (HE & FE) and their implications for teaching and learning strategies. You will have a thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes and how these can enhance the student experience, along with a strong vision for the improvement and development of the curriculum area.
You will have experience of leading/managing FE & HE programmes and successfully monitoring and supporting at-risk learners to achieve or exceed their potential. Receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem-solving, you will have high personal standards and expectations, along with good planning, preparation, organisational, and administrative skills, with good attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is due to be implemented imminently.
