As a division of Vision Australia, Seeing Eye Dogs strives to develop and maintain innovative, high-quality dog guide services to enhance the mobility and independence of people who are blind or have low vision.

We follow the journey of a Seeing Eye Dog from their breeding and initial development as puppies, through their advanced training to ensure they can safely guide their future partners, to matching them with a client and finally ending with their happy retirement after eight years of dedicated service.

About the Opportunity

  • Completion of all assigned tasks within allocated time frame
  • Ensure that the kennels and all kennel areas and equipment are kept in a high standard of cleanliness
  • Organisation of safe and appropriate exercise / enrichment for kennel dogs
  • Proven ability to control and care for dogs
  • Excellent self-management and time keeping skills
  • Certificate 3 Animal Studies/or equivalent or Veterinary Nursing Qualification
  • Previous experience as an Animal Attendant, Kennel Attendant or Veterinary Nursing
