Streetworks Co-Ordinator

Location: Edwalton, Nottingham (On Site Position)

Salary: GBP26,000 - GBP28,000 Dependent on experience

Smart City Recruiters Ltd are one of the largest Telecommunications Contractor based in the UK, predominantly working on the Openreach network, our client are a fast growing company and are looking for experienced persons to join their projects team.

We have an opportunity for a Streetworks/NRSWA Coordinator to join their team, ideally you will have experience of opening/closing notices on civils works (utilities) and be experienced in using the Street Manager / Symology noticing systems.

Responsibilities:

Streetworks Planning and Team Coordination:

  • Develop comprehensive Streetworks plans in coordination with project managers to ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
  • Collaborate with local authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals for Streetworks activities.
  • Liaise with field teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to organise and schedule Streetworks activities.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination to minimise disruptions and optimise workflow.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations during Streetworks activities.
  • Implement best practices to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of Streetworks plans, permits, and approvals.
  • Generate reports on Streetworks progress, challenges, and resolutions for management review.
  • Address and resolve issues that may arise during Streetworks operations promptly.
  • Collaborate with relevant parties to find solutions and prevent recurring problems.

Requirements:

  • Ideally proven experience in Streetworks coordination within the telecommunications or utilities industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to Streetworks and permits.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal teams, subcontractors, and local authorities.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Capability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Adept at identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.
  • Ability to think critically and make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools for Streetworks planning and coordination.
  • Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure is a plus.
