Following the market growth and our recent acquisitions, NTT DATA Business Solutions are increasing the portfolio of tools and data services they are providing to customers.

As part of this initiative, NTT DATA are recruiting an additional Data Management Team Lead to the next possible date.

As a key member of our team, reporting to our Data Management Practice Director, you will be responsible for managing a data team of about 5 onshore and some offshore resources across various engagements, and work with pre-sales and delivery stakeholders to consult with customers in data management, tools, technologies, and processes.

In this role you will contribute towards the departmental performance such as innovation, efficiency, and quality assurance, as well as contribute to development of re-usable internal collateral, to support project deliverables.

It’s envisaged that you will have previous line management experience along with performance management and extensive experience of SAP data migration across a range of technologies.

The role will principally be based via home working, with visits to NTT DATA offices and client sites when required.

Overall objectives for this role are:

• Leading and managing a Data team, including onboarding, mentoring, and performance management with the ability to provide strategic direction, set goals, and ensure the team's efforts align with the practices and organization's strategy

• To manage stakeholder relationships and expectations on all client engagement phases, representing the Data Practice internally and externally

• To support client development management, pre-sales and sales activities with the Data team resources and capabilities to meet the companies commercial targets

• To oversee active engagements / projects to ensure high quality of delivery from initiation through the entire engagement lifecycle, and plan and manage the activities of those working within your team

• To support data practice capability development by continuously improving the engagement methodology and providing collective feedback on our data toolsets towards the toolset owners

• To mentor and guide the internal Data Team to learn new tools and skills, including usage of NTT DATA owned data toolsets / intellectual property products.

Experience & Background:

• Good experience of SAP data migration tools and their respective processes (e.g. Migration Cockpit, Data Services, LSMW, etc)

• Beneficial would be some experience of data archiving tools and Master Data Governance tools and their respective processes (e.g. MDG, etc)

• Not required, but beneficial would-be experiences with non-SAP data models and software

• Experience of working in pre-sales and responding to RFPs

• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple data projects simultaneously from initiation to delivery whilst prioritizing tasks effectively

• Able to advise and consult at client C-2 level

• Experience of building and coaching teams in the data space

• Experience of working with 3rd party providers of Data Management software, ideally within larger implementation projects

• Experience of working with multiple global teams across different time zones

• Demonstrates a high level of personal responsibility, pragmatism, and autonomy, planning own work to meet given objectives within a defined framework

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

• Excellent in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills with good attention to detail

• Experience through multiple end-to-end large SAP ERP transformation projects

• Experience with working through all SAP activate phases and Understanding of SAP ACTIVATE methodology more generally would be beneficial

• Ability to plan, manage and QA check workstream deliverables.

• Ability to carry out a project stream risk assessment and escalate as required suggesting pragmatic solutions.

• Actively shares and transfers own expertise and operational knowledge in a structured method, thus making it useful and functional.
