Job Title: Shuttering Carpenter

We are currently seeking a skilled Shuttering Carpenters to join our dynamic team.

The Role: As a Shuttering Carpenter, you will be responsible for creating and assembling formwork for concrete structures according to project specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of construction processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, and shape wooden structures for concrete formwork, including molds for foundations, beams, columns, and slabs.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine the dimensions and materials required.
  • Erect and dismantle formwork safely, ensuring it is correctly positioned and secured.
  • Work closely with other construction professionals to coordinate formwork processes.
  • Inspect completed formwork to ensure it meets all safety and quality standards before concrete is poured.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations on-site.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings and formwork systems.
  • Excellent carpentry skills and knowledge of construction materials.
  • CSCS card is relevant to carpentry or formwork.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.
