The main purpose of this role is to execute the lab work following provided synthetic route and contribute with ideas and to other projects when problems are encountered during the synthesis

Design and develop chemistry for custom synthesis projects
Work efficiently in the laboratory to meet project deadlines
Carry out characterisation and data analysis
Perform all laboratory work in a safe manner and comply with all regulations, adhere to company policies
Execute lab work for own project and deliver within given deadlines
Execute the lab work following provided synthetic routes
Prepare progress and final project reports
Management of Synthetic Chemist 1, Synthetic Technicians or industrial placement students where applicable
MSc or PhD graduate chemist - with industry experience in large scale manufacturing required
Proven record in a wide range of synthetic chemistry.
Experience in carbohydrate, nucleoside or related research is an advantage.
Experience in process development for large scale manufacturing – ideally with experience of 20 ltr scale chemistry process
Process chemistry experience would be desirable
