This role will also provide general support to GSK UK R&D to ensure delivery of an efficient and effective EHS service across sites in the region that meets customer needs and meets required standards, support the local awareness and knowledge development in key technical EHS aspects and management systems.
This individual will drive success by engaging, influencing and collaborating, globally, to ensure our Fire and Life procedures, training, and communications are being effectively managed within an extremely complex and diverse organization.

Work with the R&D customer groups to develop and refine local the EHS management systems in line with emerging requirements and needs. 
Provide services and solutions to R&D business area and/or specialism that meet legal and corporate requirements whilst also satisfying the evolving needs of the business 
Higher level qualification in scientific related discipline or the field of Environment, Health and Safety.
Degree and Postgraduate qualification in scientific subject preferably chemistry,
Recognized safety qualification - NEBOSH Diploma highly desirable
Demonstrated ability to lead projects.
Clear thinking, decisive and prepared to challenge to maintain standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
