Telecoms Electrician

Location: Greater London Area

Synchro have partnered with a leading provider of telecom services in the UK and Ireland, offering end-to-end solutions in fixed, mobile, and utilities infrastructure networks.

About the Role:

Join our field team as a Telecoms Electrician, contributing to the success of various projects and maintenance tasks across London and the South. The role operates primarily on a Monday-Friday basis, with flexibility for overtime and travel. A full driving license is essential due to the nature of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission rack, charger, and telecoms equipment to high standards.
  • Wire and connect AC & DC power to telecoms equipment following regulations.
  • Test and certify installed equipment.
  • Provide first-line support and troubleshoot customer equipment.
  • Conduct works in data rooms, data centers, and substations.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections on spare fibers and battery chargers.
  • Create RAMS and manage work areas/vehicles.
  • Complete site surveys for installations.
  • Proactively understand and meet customer needs and contractual obligations.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds 2391 – Inspect and Test.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Full Driving License.
  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work certification.
  • Asbestos Awareness training.
  • Manual Handling certification.
  • IOSH Working Safely.
  • Relevant telecoms experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Emphasis on health and safety at work.
  • Experience in completing handover documents.
