Main Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day operations surrounding Repo and Securities Financing activity with the primary function to support the operational requirements of Collateral Management related activity.
  • Collateral Management / Settlement processing including calculating, agreeing and processing margin call pertaining to the Repo and Securities Lending activities of the business.
  • Collateral Reconciliation (of collateral reports generated by Euroclear and Global One).
  • Escalate any discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate reporting of collateral positions.
  • Static Maintenance (updating Global One).
  • Administration Support: controls, documentation, corporate actions processing.

Experience required:

  • At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in operations within Financial Services with a focus on repo and securities lending operations – especially with collateral management experience, but also ideally settlements, cash management, and reconciliations experience.
  • Good standard of education.
  • Intermediate level of IT skills including Global One, SWIFT, Beta Global, Easyway, Business Objects.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external clients, and attention to detail.
  • Ideally some regulatory knowledge including an appropriate understanding of AML, payments and other laws and regulations relating to banking operations.
  • Able to interpret financial data and work through issues to resolve them and ensure static data is maintained effectively.
