Role Overview:

As the Associate Director of Humanities, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction and strategic vision of our humanities department. Working closely with the Director of Humanities, you will lead a team of passionate educators in delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences across a range of humanities subjects, including History, Geography, and Religious Studies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Director of Humanities to develop and implement a cohesive and innovative curriculum that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness.

- Provide leadership and support to humanities faculty, fostering a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and excellence in teaching.

- Oversee the assessment and evaluation of student progress, ensuring high academic standards and effective feedback mechanisms.

- Stay abreast of current educational trends and research in the field of humanities, integrating best practices into teaching and curriculum development.

- Cultivate strong relationships with students, parents, and external stakeholders, advocating for the importance of humanities education in fostering well-rounded individuals.

Requirements:

- A Bachelor's degree in a humanities-related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Substantial teaching experience in humanities subjects at the secondary level.

- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of successful team management and collaboration.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
