Newark Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom GXO Logistics Full time €33,000

Are you an analytical thinker with a logical approach? Are you able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, supporting them with analysis and interpretation? Would you relish the opportunity to influence high level decision making?

You’ll feel fulfilled as a member of our busy transport team

GXO are looking for a Data Analyst to join us on our Currys site based in Newark. Here you will generate management information and reports, providing stakeholders with actionable insights that drive strategic and operational decisions.

This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working on an ‘any 5 from 7 shift pattern’. The working schedule is typically Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00. However, flexibility across the 24/7 operation is required, this is logistics after all

Pay, benefits and more:

You’ll be paid a salary of £33,000 per annum, dependent upon experience. You’ll also receive 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks including our GXO University which provides you the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications at a pace that you’re comfortable with. Not to mention our continued focus on internal promotions, over 55% last year

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Produce management information to the agreed schedule, daily/weekly/monthly for all levels of the business – which then enables stakeholders to provide actionable insight driving strategic and operational decisions
  • Create and maintain customised ad-hoc reports aligning with current operational requirements and project activities, gather and analyse data and then present it in a format suitable for the intended audience
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and financial planning processes, ensuring data-driven decisions are made
  • Based on data-driven recommendations, identify and implement improvements to workflows, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness
  • Fully leverage all IT systems, including TMS and customer portals, to conduct detailed analyses of delivery schedules, volume trends, and customer profiles

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Experience working with large volumes of data from different sources
  • An understanding of a transport/transport planning environment that will enable you to analyse and interpret the data, translating it into visuals and relevant reports
  • Confident communication skills, able to build rapport with a variety of stakeholders and the customer directly
  • Proficiency in data tools such as MS Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau or similar

We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.

We help our customers manage their goods most efficiently using our technology and services. Our greatest strength is our global team – energetic, innovative people of all experience levels and talents who make GXO a great place to work.
