Role: Logistic supervisor.

As a Logistic Supervisor you will be focused on the logistics and fulfilment of the project. This role involves overseeing the logistical aspects of construction projects, which can be complex and demanding.
Material Procurement: Coordinate the procurement of construction materials, ensuring they are delivered to the construction site on time and in the right quantities. This includes managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and monitoring inventory levels.
~ Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of materials and equipment on construction sites. Implement systems for tracking inventory levels, reorder points, and restocking materials as needed to avoid project delays.
~ This includes selecting appropriate modes of transportation (trucks, forklifts, cranes, etc.), scheduling deliveries, and optimizing routes for cost-efficiency.
~ This may involve setting up temporary on-site storage facilities or coordinating with off-site warehouses.
~ Risk Management: Identify potential logistical risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This includes addressing issues such as theft, damage, and delays in material deliveries.
~ Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for logistics-related expenses, such as transportation, warehousing, and equipment maintenance. Coordination: Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to align logistics with project timelines and goals. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands. Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that materials and equipment meet the required standards and are in good condition when they arrive at the construction site.
~ Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities, including receipts, invoices, and delivery schedules. Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency in the logistics operations of the construction company.
Advanced or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in one or more of the following: Engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material or production planning, operations or supply chain management, material cost control or master production scheduling.
Must have prior experience in the construction industry, as it provides an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of construction logistics.
Experience in logistics and supply chain management is essential.

~ Strong understanding of logistics principles, including procurement, inventory management, transportation, and warehousing, is crucial.
