Strategic Senior IT Buyer

Your Role: Senior IT Buyer

As a Strategic Senior IT Buyer, you will:

* Strategise and Innovate : Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, staying abreast of market trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in IT procurement.
* Global Vendor Management : Cultivate and manage relationships with global vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
* Technology Adoption : Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge technologies, aligning IT procurement with the organisation's strategic goals and digital transformation initiatives.
* Data-Driven Decision Making : Utilise data analytics to make informed decisions, optimise costs, and enhance overall IT procurement efficiency.
* Risk Management : Mitigate risks associated with IT procurement through thorough risk assessment and proactive contract management.

Requirements:

* Education : Ideally MCIPS Qualified.
* Experience : Solid experience within IT procurement, with a proven track record of strategic sourcing and vendor management.
* Communication Skills : Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical Thinking : Ability to analyse data, assess market trends, and make strategic decisions based on findings.
* Leadership : Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor a team.

This role requires the successful candidate to be happy to work on a Hybrid basis, with ½ days per week in the state-of-the-art offices based in Coventry.
