Financial Planner – manage existing HNW clients (£500k - £1m) – 2 years of advising experience required - Boutique IFA firm – Near Claygate/Esher

My client are an independent wealth planning firm with offices near Claygate/Esher. I have met the Directors and got to know their business very well and their plans for the future. They offer whole of market financial advice to HNW retirees, entrepreneur’s, accumulators, local families and SME owners based across Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and London. They do look after the affairs of some professional sports men and women. In their current setup they manage the affairs of c.500 clients (£300m AUM) with assets ranging from £500k - £2m. The advisers consult on pensions, investments, tax planning, cashflow modelling, retirement planning, protections and some esoteric schemes. They have very longstanding relations with some of their clients stretching back 10 years.

The business is very engaged in the local community events and are advocates of many charitable causes. They are growing organically via recommendation or referral and working with professional introducers. They have no aspiration to be acquired by national consolidators. They place exceptional customer satisfaction at the top of their priorities resulting in a very high rate of retention. The support team comprises of an experienced team of Administrators & Paraplanners who work in a pod structure with the 7 Advisers. The support staff are actively encouraged to progress and develop as both professionals and individuals via ongoing CPD and industry exams. This has proven very successful over the years with many administrators progressing through to paraplanning and 2 have been signed off as Financial Advisers. The Managing Director is creating a brand-new role for a Financial Planner with 2 – 3 years of advising experience who will be responsible for managing a portion of his existing book of business. Client meetings are held in the office, away from the office and virtually. The role has come about as a member of staff is having to relocate due to personal circumstances. Clients are mainly based in Surrey, but they have clients spread across the Southeast. This is a servicing role and will be suitable for a candidate who has a background in an independent wealth planning firm and can work with complex HNW cases.

• Salary: £70k - £80k (negotiable)
