In this role, you will oversee and mentor two direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting month-end stock reconciliation reviews, performing goods in transit reconciliations, and reviewing stock gains/losses analysis. You will execute Product Price Variance (PPV) analysis, calculate stock provisions, and oversee duty on stock reconciliation, review, and WD5 submissions.
Additionally, you will maintain and reconcile the CDS (Import) Control Account, calculate and submit Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) to the group, and manage freight costs accruals. You will also handle deferred and corporation tax calculations and submissions.
Beyond these core tasks, you will update the Alcohol Wholesaler Registration Scheme (AWRS) as required, assist with the preparation of statutory accounts (STAT), and participate in various project work to support business needs.
To succeed in this role, you should have advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and the ability to manipulate large volumes of data.
Prior experience in stock management and IFRS compliance is highly advantageous.
We are looking for a self-motivated team player with strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliation tasks.
You will directly contribute to the financial health and efficiency of our operations while gaining exposure to a variety of accounting tasks and enhancing your expertise in financial controls and compliance.
