A brilliant opportunity has come up to work with a fantastic, corrugated packaging company that sell shelf ready packaging, transit, e-commerce, POS, creative/bespoke design with multiple colours and much more. Established in 1985 as a manufacturer and are now seeking a Business Development Manager who is looking to further their career and help with the continuous growth of the company. Business Development Manager £45,000 to £55,000 DOE Northeast Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with opportunities for growth, 1.5% of all new business or 20% bonus of the agreed annual salary, with a car or car allowance of £600, 25 days holiday plus bank, no medical to begin with but will change after development, 3% Pension, laptop and phone. Responsibilities The role will involve actively prospecting for new customers in the following industries: FMCG, food & beverage, automotive, electrics, publishing, printing and more. Additionally, the role will include frequent travel to customers where you will manage and nurture a portfolio of around £2,000,000 including some key customers to the business. They are now actively looking to recruit a business development manager who is driven and has experience of managing a heavy workload. Your day-to-day duties will be based around developing long terms relationships with clients, account management, business development and ensuring all KPI’s are met. Your role includes dealing with new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation and commercial follow up of UK customers and branching out further afield acting in the markets targeted by the organisation. You will play an active part in the development of the sales budget, monitor revenue and margins, promote the image of the company and you will continue with the improvement of the initiatives of the company. They are looking to recruit the successful candidate immediately; however, you must have or hold: Ideally you will come from the following packaging background: Timber, Corrugated or Pallet industry would be ideal. Other areas will be considered if you have a good track record in sales You will need to be comfortable hitting a new business target of £300,000 Understand the UK market. You must be happy developing new business opportunities and building on your successes. A sense of business relationships and customer service. High interest in the technical dimension of the products. You must come from a packaging background and have experience in sales.
