Academics are working with a flourishing mainstream Primary School based in Chelmsford. The Head Teacher of this schools is seeking a dedicated, motivated and patient individual to join the KS1 team, as a Behavioural Support Mentor. This role is due to start in September. ** £83-100 per day (Paid weekly)

** Long-term contract with the view of going permanent

** Ample training and support given

* KS1 Behaviour Support Mentor

The role of a behaviour support mentor is to support children who struggle with Social, Emotional Mental Health & Special education needs. Across KS1, the schools supports children who suffer with mild-extreme anxiety, depression, ODD etc. The Head Teacher is seeking someone who is genuinely interested in and passionate about helping children which such struggles. The ideal candidate should be patient, kind, dedicated and committed. Getting to know each student on a personal level is imperative. Training and support will be given to best help you support these children.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a psychology/criminology graduate who is keen to gain hands-on experience with different behaviours and mental health needs.

Alternatively, this would be the perfect role for an experienced TA/LSA who is seeking the opportunity to work with children with complex needs and gain extensive knowledge on SEN/SEMH.

No matter if you are a graduate or an experienced TA/LSA, this role is a great opportunity to give back to the community and make a real positive impact on young student's lives.

* The ideal candidate must have UK school experience or a child related qualification and a genuine passion for helping struggling children achieve their best academically & emotionally.
