On behalf of our client school, Tradewind are looking to appoint a passionate Year 2 teacher to work in a beautiful, well-respected school in Denton, Tameside. This exciting long-term role will commence September on a full-time basis until July with the chance of permanency for the ideal candidate. The school are looking for a teacher with strong subject knowledge across KS1 and will welcome applications from both ECT's and more experienced teachers.

About the School

This Denton based school achieved 'Good' in its latest OFSTED inspection and this success was largely down to experienced leadership and dedicated teachers who work hard to achieve desired goals. Many children at this school are working at or above age-related expectations and are very happy and keen to learn.

Staff at this school cooperate effectively to share advice, and resources that encourage best practice and adopt a strong work ethic which contributes to the schoolwide success.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a lovely Year 2 class of around 30 pupils. The class comprises of mixed abilities with some pupils with SEND needs where accommodations need to be put in place. You will be joined by an experienced TA on a full-time basis and behaviour is generally good across the school with the behaviour policy focused on positive reinforcement.

A teacher who can use Story phonics to systematically teach phonics to develop reading, writing and verbal commuincaiton skills.
Someone who is passionate about the arts, active learning and creating memorable experienced for children
A fantastic team player who is willing to share advice, resources and be open minded to ways in which to enhance teaching and learning
An individual who will go above and beyond to support individuals to reach their academic potential
The school is led by an experienced Headteacher who very passionate about learning and life at the school. The school offers high-quality CPD opportunities and invites to wider school opportunities where staff enjoy social and charitable events.

You must hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
