The Cottesloe School is a successful and oversubscribed Foundation secondary school with Sixth Form situated in the village of Wing in rural North Buckinghamshire, located conveniently for Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.

Art, craft and design embody some of the highest forms of human creativity. It is our intention that our high-quality art and design curriculum will engage, inspire and challenge students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. As students progress, our intention is that they will be able to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design. Students should also know how art and design reflect and shape our history and contribute to our nation's culture, creativity and wealth.

Art can teach us how to go into life with the ability to see and appreciate the beauty of our world. Our aim is to develop curious, experimental and confident artists who enjoy learning through the creative processes of art, appreciating that there are many ways to see and interpret the world we live in. About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher with excellent knowledge and relevant teaching qualification to join our team and teach Art at all Key Stages. The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner with a clear vision of how they can inspire students, raising their aspiration and achievement. This is an ideal opportunity for either an ECT to undertake their induction training in a school with a proven track record of providing excellent professional support for all staff, or for an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge and great CPD opportunities in a supportive school.

Early Career Teachers will be offered a contract from July 2024 and comprehensive Induction support.
