About The Role

To support our growing business, we are looking for a HOP Technician either based Hybrid to our office at West Byfleet, Surrey OR Diseworth, Derby.

Your role will be to support the Delivery Teams by taking responsibility for arranging/checking/uploading and tracking Hand Over Packs across several Vodafone projects.

Projects vary from adding new technologies to existing sites and simple power swaps to the installation of new sites within a defined project, geographical area or UK wide.

HOPS are critical to a successful project delivery, and it is important to ensure that they are accurate and timely to meet the standards of our Clients.

This role fits within Waldon Telecom's VF Operations and will work collaboratively with the Design & Build teams

What will your key responsibilities be?

  • Understanding the specific project requirements to ensure that the HOP is Right First Time and accepted by the Client.
  • Ensure SLAs are being met and escalate via Line manager any that arent being met.
  • Schedule HOPs to align with the project program delivery.
  • Update Site Tracker to show the status of HOP Documents and dependencies.
  • Ensure internal and external resources have submitted all relevant documentation for project deliverables.
  • Create and compile milestone/progress reports from the database on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
  • Update customer trackers and databases on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
  • Provide data for sub-contractor team meetings and departmental briefings.
  • Other administrative and support tasks that shall be required from time to time in support of the Delivery teams and the business objectives. (E.G. Stats, REC power ordering and delivery, RAMS and HOPs).

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Previous Project and Programme Co-ordination experience.
  • Proven track record of project delivery.
  • Technical experience in IT or Telecoms industries would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to present at senior level.
  • Experience working with various Telco vendors.
  • Excellent I.T. and database skills. (MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Access).
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet key deadlines in a pressurised, target driven environment, whilst maintaining a customer focused ethos.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build positive relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Has the proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment to achieve programme targets.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrable willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Initiates and manages change to drive process improvement.
  • Sets challenging and personal goals.
