What you’ll be doing

Our team is constantly growing and we’re hiring for the role of Front End Engineer who can help us continue to disrupt the market with innovative products while balancing the needs of our existing customers.

We are looking for someone with experience delivering features and developments for SaaS products. You’ll be liaising with delivery managers, product managers, and senior engineers to review squad plans and solutions. You will be continuing to contribute to a community of front-end developers and ensuring that we consistently evolve our best practices and drive the technical road map.

Key responsibilities

  • Work in a squad team environment to collaborate and deliver features across web applications

  • Actively participate in code reviews

  • Ensure code is developed and tested to a high quality standard, which includes unit test coverage and e2e integration tests

  • Become a valued member of the FE team by sharing knowledge and participating in discussions

  • Fully own your tickets through the development life cycle - development to release

What we’re looking for Essentials

  • Significant experience of latest versions of React, with a good understanding of component design concepts and the latest conventions such as React Hooks

  • Experience of using Jest with React Testing Library

  • Familiarity with Typescript

  • Strong understanding of CSS features and compatibility and familiarity with SASS

  • Comfortable with Git version control and awareness of GitHub Flow

  • Desire to continually grow, develop and improve

  • Strong at team communication with thoughtful consideration of peers

Desirable skills

  • Experience with Webpack application stack

  • Experience in creating WCAG AA compliant HTML interfaces

  • Familiarity with GraphQL

  • React Native

  • Experience working with automated test suites, preferably Cypress
