Role Overview: As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, engineering, production, and customer liaison aspects of electrical engineering division. You will be responsible for overseeing all electrical and electronic components of the product range throughout their life cycle, collaborating closely with Mechanical Engineers to shape the current and future product development and technology roadmap.
Design, develop, and deliver all electrical and electronic aspects of the product and technology roadmap, in collaboration with senior management.
* Develop value-engineered products, balancing quality and cost considerations from the outset and optimizing designs for manufacturability.
* Manage prototype and trial builds of electrical solutions, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Proficiency in electronic and electrical design, with a strong understanding of project management principles.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a systematic approach to root cause analysis.
* Thorough understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
* Expertise in product approval and certification processes, including engagement with regulatory bodies.
* Ability to navigate commercial pressures, optimizing cost and lead-time without compromising quality.
* Familiarity with PC operating systems and software tools.
Knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication techniques.
* Experience in electro-mechanical systems, particularly in harsh environments.
* Expertise in electrical thermal management and heat exchange systems.
* Understanding of network architecture, including cellular networks and related technologies.
* Field experience in repairing and maintaining electrical systems.
