Role: Assistant Project Manager

Salary: £Competitive

Location: Doncaster (On-site)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:00am to 16:30pm, and Friday 08:00am to 13:00pm

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Annual Leave: 25 days plus bank holidays (plus 8 bank holidays)

How will you make a difference?

Working closely with the Project Manager in the delivery of projects for Wabtec Rail Limited regards the overhaul activities on existing trains.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Understanding of contractual terms and conditions and contracted scope of supply and monitoring and management of contractual variations.
  • Liaison with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, Health and Safety, and other Business Units to coordinate business activities.
  • Establishing collaborative working relationships with customers.
  • Assisting with the production of a comprehensive Project Plan, identifying critical tasks, monitoring, and keeping up to date throughout the term of the project.
  • Assisting with the identification of project risks and formulating risk mitigation strategies.
  • Keeping financial records of project forecasting and monitoring project costs and sales and ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  • Working with QPS management in Project Lean events and project cost reduction.
  • Representing the Company and its interests at meetings with customers.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Ideally you have previous Project Coordination or Administration experience.
  • Strong communication skills as you will be maintaining and developing good relationships with internal departments and with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines for the team.
  • Competent MS applications (in particular Excel).
