Are you a dedicated Psychology Graduate with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young learners? Do you possess the skills to deescalate challenging behaviour and a deep understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Tradewind Recruitment is excited to partner with a highly regarded Specialist School in Blackburn that caters to pupils from 9 - 16 years old with a range of complex needs, focusing on SEMH support. The school is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that empowers pupils to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the pupils' educational journey by providing tailored support and guidance. Utilise your knowledge of psychology and behaviour management techniques to deescalate challenging situations.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour intervention plans (BIPs).
Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to promote social and emotional development.
Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure effective support for Pupils with SEMH needs.
Engage Pupils in a variety of educational and extracurricular activities.
A degree in Psychology or a related field.
Experience working with children and young people, preferably within Key Stages 2 to 4.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic educational environment.
