About Us
King's Digital is a newly established professional service of the College that provides centralised support to and oversight of online education activity across King's. Specifically, the department has three verticals: content production; operations; and student support. Working closely with Faculties, the operations function is responsible for the planning, coordination and management of online provision; the student support function is responsible for providing a dedicated non-academic student management service to distance learners at King's.
About the Role
This role is Internal to King's Employee's only.
To provide transitional support for during King's Digital Phase 1, we require an individual with authoritative knowledge of the specialist work practices and guidelines relevant to student support from a Faculty perspective. The roleholder will focus primarily on
- digital curriculum management of cross-faculty climate programmes
- student support systems and process improvements with regards to faculty liaison.
This is a part time post (14 Hours per week), and you will be offered an a fixed term contract until 30 October 2024
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Professionally qualified with a relevant degree/postgraduate qualification, plus a broad management experience in similar or related roles OR Substantial vocational and relevant management experience demonstrating management ability in appropriate professional or specialist area, and success in similar or related roles, supported by evidence of significant appropriate specialist knowledge.
- Authoritative knowledge of the specialist work practices and/or professional guidelines relevant to student support from a Faculty perspective.
- Awareness of the current and future activities of the College & Faculty involved with regards to cross-faculty strategic projects
- Project and/or people management skills that may have been gained/be identifiable through previous experience.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capability
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable criteria
- Digital curriculum management of cross-faculty or climate programmes
