The Opportunity You will be responsible for leading delivery teams in the development of technical solutions for Roke’s National Security customers that have a focus on data services. You have deep knowledge in a number of areas and this is an opportunity to use that experience to define novel technical approaches. Key Responsibilities Technical leadership of teams with mixed technical abilities including data engineering, machine learning, cloud, DevOps, and software engineering Lead on engagements with customers Prepare and contribute to technical proposals and bids Work effectively with Delivery Management to escalate risks, plan deliveries, and resourcing skills Support customer account team by contributing to business development strategy Why We Want You We are looking for candidates with experience in areas including: Designing and building scalable data platforms Analytical techniques for extracting insight from a variety of data sources Visualisation of complex data Machine learning At least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++) DevOps techniques for supporting repeatable deployment and testing Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP) Experience with Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) leadership roles (e.g. Scrum Master, Product Owner) Beyond your technical skills, you will be proactive and able to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will be curious and seek out the best approach/solution/tool for the job at hand.
