The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage earthworks and drainage activities on-site.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and provide accurate progress reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
- Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, daily logs, and quality assurance documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and subcontractors as needed.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to on-site.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry, specifically within highways, earthworks, and drainage projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualifications.
- Valid CSCS card
- Previous UK Highways experience.
