The position entails working beyond standard business hours, including late evenings or overnight shifts. Your responsibilities will include maintaining our mission-critical applications, delivering both primary and secondary application management support within our cloud-based environments, as well as providing third-line functional support for software applications to a variety of customers. The role is remote although you must be based in the UK.
The role entails active monitoring and maintenance of our client's cloud-hosted software applications operationally beyond standard business hours. These incidents could relate to applications, data, or systems. The focus of this role is to provide out-of-business-hours application support services, divided across two shifts.
Deploying and managing AWS services and other cloud platforms.
# Ensuring operational performance of our applications and environments.
# Conducting investigations to provide solutions or temporary workarounds.
# Collaborating with developers upon identification of potential software defects.
# Transitioning issues to the standard-hours application support team.

Maintaining our Linux server estate and services.
# Performing routine data or system configuration tasks.
# Contributing to customer service performance reports.
# Participating in application testing throughout the full test lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Sinara’s own software development teams.
You will possess experience in working during out-of-business hours shifts, focusing on maintaining cloud-hosted environments and software applications. Demonstrating a solid general knowledge of IT concepts along with an exceptional understanding of AWS deployments, and administration of containerization tools and orchestration platforms is essential.

Exchanging information and ideas with colleagues and clients who may not share your technical expertise requires excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
To excel in this role, we seek engineers who possess a passion for tackling diverse and complex IT challenges. While our operations are within the financial sector, prior experience in this field is not mandatory. Career progression:

Comprehensive training will be provided as needed. Sinara will provide training on industry/domain-specific topics and applications.
Sinara offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes a profit-related bonus, 25 days of holiday, and a pension plan.
This position is full-time, requiring 37.5 to 45 hours of work per week and is available for remote work.
